Insulating Concrete Form Construction

What are ICF’s?

Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF) are hollow blocks or panels made of foam plastic that construction crews stack into the shape of the exterior walls of a residential or non-residential building. Reinforced steel is added and the hollow void is filled with ready mix concrete. This combination of concrete, steel and foam creates a very strong and energy-efficient structure. We are distributors for Integraspec Building Systems

Ease of Building with Integraspec ICF’s

  • ICF walls can accommodate any interior or exterior finishing system-wood, aluminum, vinyl, stucco, stone, brick, drywall, plaster.
  • Curves and odd angels can be created using ICF’s
  • Electrical and plumbing lines are easily installed by cutting channels in the polystyrene with a router, chain saw or hot knife.
  • Conventional homebuilding crews adapt easily to ICF construction. Basic carpentry skills are needed, but with proper training anyone can learn how to properly install ICF’s. Builders can call us to learn about training.
  • Comparison to other ICF systems, Integraspec ICF has less
    • waste,
    • lift and bulging,
    • wall compression, and
    • wavy walls

What are the benefits of Integraspec ICF?

  • Residential, commercial or industrial buildings built with ICF offer higher resistance to natural disasters such as fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes.
  • An ICF structure can dramatically reduce heating and cooling costs.
  • An ICF structure provides a quiet indoor environment.
  • An ICF structure is extremely durable requiring less maintenance than conventional buildings.

ICF Homes and Buildings are:

  • Cost competitive
